Police in Kabale districtare holding a 37 year old man working with Uganda new Securiko
limited Kabale branch over loss of a gun.
The suspect Emmanuel Beijuka who is former Uganda People’s Defense
Forces soldier a resident of Kigongi A cell central division is
accused of losing a semi-automatic rifle on Monday this week.
It’s alleged that Beijuka was deployed in central market on Saturday
evening but by morning he disappeared with the gun to unknown place.
The Kigezi region Police spokesperson Elly maate says that since last
weekend police launched a man hunt until yesterday when Beijuka was
arrested. He adds that police is still hunting for the whereabouts of
the gun as they investigate the motive of taking the gun.
However Keijuka says that some unknown people gave him chloroform and
later took the gun. He adds that he realized that he had lost the gun he
lost his mind but he reported to his colleagues
