Shock and grief yesterday engulfed residents of Rushaki ward in Kabale municipality when they found the body of the head teacher of Bugarama primary school murdered and his body dumped under a tree plantation.
The deceased has been identified as Bernard Mugisha aged 43. It is alleged that 2nd June 2017, Mugisha went to Kabale municipality together with his wife and when they reached in town, he went to equity bank to make a transaction but did not turn up.
It’s said that after getting some money he met some yet to be identified men in Kabale town at night who kidnapped him and took him a yet to be identified place, yesterday his body was discovered in the eucalyptus forest at Kihumuro cell, Rushaki ward, Southern Division in Kabale Municipality and his arms were tied and cloth stuck in his mouth .
Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional police spokesperson says that police has commenced investigations in the mater as the case is registered under CRB 1650/17 at Kabale central police station.
Maate also called upon whoever could be having relevant information about the murder of the deceased to volunteer it to police so that the perpetrators can be arrested.
