Over Ug shs 77M have been collected in pledges and cash in a fundraising function held at Kyamuhunga Sub county grounds in Kyamuhunga Bushenyi district.
The fundraising was aiming at construction of new sub county headquarters following the occupation of the current headquarters by the new Kyamuhnga town council.
According to the area Member of Parliament, hon. Raphael Magyezi, the new headquarters will be constructed in Kakoni parish and added that it must be constructed because he still has vigor to serve.
Among the top contributors were; the managing director of National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Eng. Prof. Silver Mugisha, who contributed Ug shs 6M, MP Bunyaruguru Mr. John Ntamugira 4M, MP for Kisoro Municipality, Mr. Sam Byibisho Ug shs 1.8M and the MP Busheny- Ishaka Municipality, Mr. Arinda Gordon ‘Cow Boy’ ug shs 1.8M among others.
In his remarks, Magyezi expressed his appreciation to the contributors and appealed to them to always cooperate in all developmental programmes.
