The district chairperson Kabarole Richard Rwabuhinga has tasked the LCI&II chairpersons to be exemplary and form a Unity of Purpose for their areas to be free from crimes and achieve development.
He says the chairpersons are charged with the responsibility of holding meetings with residents resolving issues, explaining the development projects and voluntarily engaging in the community work.
Speaking at the induction of all LCI&II chairpersons at Kitumba district headquarters Rwabuhinga urged local leaders to embrace the idea of One Village One Product to identify one agricultural produce the residents can get involved in so as to have enough produce to support the yet to be established industrial park in Kyembogo Busoro sub county.
Kabarole RDC Asiimwe Steven emphasized on need for the leaders to mobilize the people towards Burungi Bwansi, work on community roads and water sources, focus on improve health, sanitation and hygiene, increased productivity and security.
The Burahya county MP Margaret Muhanga revealed that government has finalized plans to give electricity and water to the people of Harugongo and Kicwamba sub counties but noted people have the responsibility to utilize these facilities to move
