Several months after those first images were leaked, the adidas NMD XR1 OG Black finally gets a confirmed release date. This is a silhouette which has divided opinion with sneakerheads. Some would have preferred the OG style to remain loyal to the original Nomad silhouette, while others are clearly impressed with this XR1 release.

As with the original, soft and lightweight Primeknit covers the upper in a deep shade of black. That contemporary aesthetic of the NMD XR1 is maintained including that synthetic cage which covers the sidewall, complete with a ventilated mesh window.
An embroidered tongue tab makes an appearance while a refined leather overlay sits at the rear. While that would be enough to get most XR1 fans excited, this NMD showcases the OG treatment with red and blue EVA midsole plugs underfoot. This elevates the shoe into ‘Collectors Status’ making it a one of a kind release for this popular range.
The adidas NMD XR1 OG Black is scheduled to launch on Saturday 20th May via the retailers listed.
