FDC party President Mugisha Muntu has urged NRM officials to prepare themselves psychologically and see how they can work with opposition to manage a smooth transition of power.
Talking to Journalists in Kajara county Ntungamo district Muntu said this is the right moment for such an arrangement to be put in place although they have not been unprepared for it.
He said the proposal to lift age limit is not an NRM, FDC, UPC or DP party issue but it is a matter of national concern and urged NRM MPs opposed to the proposal to remain strong and resist any kind of intimidation.
He urged opposition to work together with such MPs in order to deny NRM the opportunity to amend the constitution.
Muntu who earlier addressed a rally in Kajara county said for the first time lifting of age limit proposal has been considered a matter that cuts across all political and religious lines and all sorts of sphere of life urging that what needs to be done is people working together to ensure that they consolidate the support so that article 102 (b) is not amended.
