Women from mountainous areas of Kabarole district have decried over family negligence by men.

The disgruntled women stated that their husbands have neglected their responsibilities resorting to loitering in bars and trading centers.

The women told this reporter that they act as wives at the same time heads of the family adding that family responsibilities like paying school fees, buying food and among other responsibilities are all theirs.

The women said that this has contributed to poverty in homes since only one person is working in a family.

Speaking to the Kabarole resident district commissioner Asiimwe Steven, the disgruntled women noted that they have resorted to joining groups where they save money to increase house hold income is improved.

In the response the RDC asked them not to show their money to their husbands but keep it safe.

He further urged them join government programs like Uganda Women Entrepreneurship program UWEP and others.

Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations who is also aspiring MP for Sheema Municipality Dr.Elioda Tumwesigye has warned that he will investigate thoroughly a report about electricity in Sheema given to President Museveni by some leaders.

What angered most the President and Dr.Elioda during his rally today July 19, 2018 at Kihunda playgrounfd in Kagango division excluding Kihunda ward on the list of areas to benefit from the electricity.

President Museveni while campaigning for Elioda and the NRM mayoral candidate Abel Kahaara at Kihunda playground wondered why Kihunda had no power. He read through the list that was given to him but Kihunda was not there.

“Me, I thought I was in DR Congo because I don’t see electric polls and wires in Kihunda. We have managed to extend power to far rural areas like Ryamiyonga and Mwizi in Rwampala, How can Kihunda fail to have power?” –Museveni Wondered

The president called Minister Elioda on the podium to explain why Kihunda has not had power and even was not on the list of areas to benefit soon.

Elioda told the president and the people of Kihunda that Kihunda was on the list to benefit through a loan from the Islamic development bank. He added that the areas the president read benefited from French Grant.

Dr.Elioda added that he will investigate the people who made the report to discredit him before the president and the people of Kihunda.

The president advised the voters in Sheema not to vote Virginia Mugyenyi of FDC whom he termed as just a mere small woman but later said the law would catch him up because he had used bad language and started addressing her properly.

He also called upon the voters in Sheema municipality to vote for Mayoral flag bearer Mr.Abel Kahaara. He warned voters that if they vote for opposition or non-NRM members, they won’t get services.

He gave an example; for Buhweju constituency and Buhweju district which voted for FDC’s Mwijukye Francis who is always moving around making noise attacking NRM and Museveni but his people are not getting services.

The president also addressed the second rally at Kabwohe playground which by the time we wrote this story, it was still ongoing. He also addressed rallies for NRM flag bearers in Ibanda Municipality.

Virgina Mugenyi Plan the FDC flag bearer in Shema Municipality Parliamentary campaigns has appealed to Inspector General of Police and the EC to intervene in the ongoing campaigns to stop intimidation and harassment her supporters.

The appeal follows the alleged assault of FDC party supporters by NRM supporters last evening.

Addressing a press conference at Mayor’s Gardens in Sheema Municipality Virginia said that her supporters were assaulted in Katwe cell Kashozi parish as they escorted her after having addressed a rally in the same parish. She said this is very sad warned that in case they retaliate the situation will be worse.

Ingrid Turinawe said the intimidation is meant to scare their supporters from turning up for voting and noted that they faced similar situations in previous by-elections like Jinja and Rukungiri municipalities but didn’t stop FDC party Flag bearers from winning. She urged voters to be brave saying the party has started getting more support from the citizens and all what they are going through will be history.

Sheema Resident District Commissioner Willy Turyamuboona said that he has constituted a team of security personnel to investigate the incident and warned that whoever will be found to have perpetrated the violence will face the law.

Virginia is facing off Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye the NRM flag bearer and five other independent candidates in the race.

Justice Remmy Kasule of the Court of Appeal and Constitutional Judge has been appointed to Supreme Court days ahead of the age limit ruling slated for July 26 in Mbale High Court.

High placed sources have imitated to this website the development saying “[Mzee appointed him [Justice Kasule] to join the Supreme Court bench.”

When contacted Mr Solomon Muyita the spokesperson to Judiciary, he said that, “I have heard that information from the media circles. We don’t have that information officially at the judiciary,” he said.

Muyita explained that the appointments of judges are directly communicated to Speaker of Parliament by the President adding that it’s only communicated to the Judiciary after a successful vetting process.

According to available information, the appointment of Justice Kasule has been communicated to Ms Rebecca Kadaga who also the heads Parliamentary Appointments Committee.

However Mr Chris Obore the Director of Communications at Parliament of Uganda denies receiving such information saying “I have no idea.”

Remmy Kasule is among the five judges in the consolidated constitutional petitions challenging the process and subsequent amendment of the Constitution.

Other judges include Deputy Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, Elizabeth Musoke, Cheborion Barishaki and Kenneth Kakuru.

The Constitutional Court will on Thursday July 26, 2018 deliver its judgement in the petitions filed by former presidential candidate Abed Bwanika, Mr Male Mabirizi and, Uganda Law Society, aggrieved citizens of Tooro sub-region and Members of Parliament.

Team No Sleep singer Sheebah Karungi has released another way of getting married to the new Team No Sleep singer Alvin Kizz in this new music video dubbed “Nkulowoozako” but it was all ruined by his job.

Nkulowozako when translated to English loosely means “I think About You” and in this new song by Sheebah and Alvin, the two were getting married when suddenly, Alvin Kizz, under a character created by Sasha Vybz the video director gets summoned to go and serve the country.

Apparently, he is set as a soldier and this music video has a vintage setting of the old movies we normally watch about World War 1 or World War 2 so Sheebah just had to just sit back, think about him until when the war was over and he came back home.

RAY SIGNATURE SIGNS TO NEW MUSIC LABEL KNOWN AS STORM INTERACTIVE

Singer Ray Signature has signed to a new music record label, Storm Interactive in a bid to revive his fading career.

The “Kasenyanku” hit maker was chosen out of the many artists because he is a talented artist, and good song writer that the world has never acknowledged.

The label will finance the singers’ new album dubbed “Ultimate birth”, which is yet to be released.

KIDNAPPER SUNDAY OKOLI ARRESTED IN IMO FOR N300, 000 RANSOM FROM LAGOS CELEBRITIES, UGO STEVENSON AND IZUNNA OBIAKOR

Sunday Okoli, a kidnapper has been arrested in Imo state while attempting to collect a ransom of N300,000 after his gang had initially received N1 million.

It was gathered that the kidnappers had allegedly abducted two entertainers, Ugo Stevenson and Izunna Obiakor, in Owerri, Imo State and demanded millions of naira. One of them was waiting to collect extra ransom when police officers nabbed him.

It was learnt that N1million was paid as ransom for the release of the entertainers after spending five nights in the kidnapper’s den.

A 2007 Toyota Highlander Sports Utility Vehicle belonging to one of the entertainers was not recovered. The nabbed suspect and his fleeing gang members re-established contact with their victims demanding additional N300, 000 before his SUV could be released to them.

The operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, led by its Commander, Godfrey Victor, cashed in on that. The kidnap victims were asked to play along. It was in the process of receiving another ransom of N300, 000, after collecting N1 m earlier, that this suspect, Sunday Okoli , aged 35 , who hails from Amokohia Ubi in the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, was nabbed. Unfortunately, others escaped.”

“My name is Sunday Okoli; I am from Amokohia Ubi in the Owerri West LGA. I recently came back from Lagos and this is the first time I joined them to this operation.

“I got a share of N100, 000 from N600, 000 that was paid. I did not follow them to the hideout. The hideout is at Awara in Ohaji/ Egbema LGA though I have not been there before. That is where the jeep is,” –he said

The National Agriculture Advisory Services (NAADS) has instructed the districts production department to start online reporting and submission of their reports to NAADS secretariat

According to Godfrey Masereka the head of planning unit at NAADS secretariat, the new monitoring guidelines introduced by ministry of agriculture, reporting is supposed to be done online to ease work.
Masereka said that the new monitoring system will provide timely evaluation and
monitoring of purchasing and supplying of technologies and other livestock
given to beneficiaries by production departments and operational
wealth creation.
He added that a well based data management system has been designed to enable them monitor and provide timely evaluation response and that the new system will enable them to urgently respond to the revised tools as the coordinators will be using online system to submit reports about the OWC progress.

He added that last season, out of the seven districts in Bunyoro sub region which were supposed to sub meet seasonal reports to OWC secretariat, only three submitted there reports.

According to NAADS statistics, 97 out of 121 districts have not yet sub mitted there reports about agricultural production to NAADS secretariat this season.
NAADS secretariat is expected to use 1.7trillion shillings funded by the government of Uganda for five financial years from 2015/6 to 2019/2020

Jose Mourinho has confirmed new Manchester United signingDiogo Dalot will be out until September with a knee injury.

The 19-year-old defender joined United on a five-year deal from Porto last month for a fee of around £19m. Dalot injured his knee late last season for Porto and was pictured on crutches in Manchester.

He travelled on United’s pre-season tour of the USA despite not being cleared to return to training but Mourinho is happy with how his recovery is progressing.

CSKA Moscow’s president Evgeniy Giner has warned Chelsea that rival clubs will be looking to sign Aleksandr Golovin.

Supporters of FDC flag bearer in Sheema Municipality Parliamentary race, Ms. Virginia Plan Mugyenyi were on Wednesday evening attacked and brutalized by suspected supporters of the NRM flag bearer Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye.

According to Virginia Plan Mugyenyi, her head of Task force in Kasozi
division, Wilson Bamwesigye and Charles Byaruhanga are among the
people who were severely injured.
The incident took place at Katwe trading centre when suspected NRM
supporters aboard a pickup truck attacked them and beat them up before
allegedly robbing them a yet know amount of money and mobile phones.
Other people who include the driver of senior citizen Makaaru were beaten.
Virginia said that Emmanuel Tusasirwe who attempted to record the
events that took place lost his phone and he was also injured.
The injured were rushed to Mbarara referral hospital.
Cue in…
Mugyenyi allege that her supporters were beaten by a group of Dr.
Elioda’s supporters led by Ashraph Rweyeshera, Obed Masiko and Kinyindo Kamukama whom she says had guns.
She also said that orders to have her supporters beaten came from
Minister Bright Rwamirama the Isingiro North Mp, Minister
Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu who is also Sheema South Mp and Minister Dr.
Elioda Tumwesigye who is the NRM flag bearer candidate also Sheema
North Mp.
