FIVE EYE IBANDA DISTRICT WOMAN MP SEAT, PICK NRM NOMINATION FORMS

In Ibanda—
Five are eyeing the same seat for the Ibanda district woman Member of Parliament as they have already picked NRM nomination forms to participate in party primaries.
These include; the former MP Margaret Kiboijana, the incumbent Jovrine Kariisa, Dr. Elvaid Agnes Twesigye, Oberth Asiimire and Jane Bainomugisha.
They all vowed will present the opportunities for the people of Ibanda district and take up the mantle of all societies when they take up the leadership positions.
Margaret Kiboijana says that if elected, she is ready to start from where she ended in 2016 when Ms. Kariisa took over.
Kiboijana bases her manifesto on education where she noted that she will improve the Ibanda girl child education fund that will support girls from secondary schools and higher institutions of Ibanda district who are financially disadvantaged.
Dr. Elvaid Agnes Twesigye, a professional teacher also promises to improve education standards as Ibanda district is having a big population estimated to be over 249,000 where almost 83.3% are youth who need education more than anything.
Obeth Asiimire, publicity secretary for NRM in Ibanda district bases on bridging the gap between the rich and the poor by becoming a voice to the latter.
Jane Bainomugisha says she will improve health especially during this period of covid 19 pandemic.
Jovrin Kariisa the current MP said that as everyone is seeking to take the seat from her as Mp for Ibanda woman member parliament, the electorates will see from what she achieved and vote her back.
