Rev. Can.John Mashanyu together with his children have applauded late mother, wife for being a strong woman who raised children with serious discipline and responsibility
Can. Mashanyu said this during the burial ceremony of his late wife Mary Busingye Mashanyu today on 22nd October 2026 in Bushenyi town .
Mary Busingye Mashanyu was born in 1947 and gave birth to many children; engineers, lawyers, accountants who work within Uganda and all over the world.
Canon Mashanyu told mourners that his wife made him go through harder times financially; with many children wanting fees but was able to pay it and they are all successful.
He also added that he rose through ladders in his career as a reverand because of the support that was given to him by his late wife Mary Busingye Mashanyu.
In their speech the children led by engineer Richard the first born heaped praises on their late mother for teaching them hard work, cleanliness, self-reliance and to love education among others.
Hon Betty Ahimbisibwe who was an MP in the 9th parliament representing Rubirizi District told mourners through online communication that her mother was exceptional during her life because she was a prayer warrior as she had extreme love for the children, husband and neighbors.
Politicians were many as usual led by Hon. Annet Katusiime Mugisha, chairman Prosper Twebaze as well as Deputy Mayor Bushenyi Ishaka municipality Milton Kasibure. The politicians grieved with the family for losing their mother /wife and asked God to protect them through this time they will live without their mother Late Mary Busingye Mashanyu.
