Airtel Rising Stars Season 7 Western Region that kicked off on Friday will end today at Bushenyi Stadium in Bushenyi District, South Western Uganda.
About sixteen teams were registered to participate in this year’s competitions and apparently, Group stages, Quarter Finals and Semi Finals concluded successfully.
The finalists shall represent this region on National level in Fortportal Later this month.
More results for group stages played on Saturday August 11th 2018; Sentah 0-1 Ibanda [ Sentah were awarded with three points and three goals after finding out that IBANDA had fielded an ineligible player], Ruyonza 5-0 Ishaka Rhinos, Mbarara Junior 1-0 Mbarara Sports Academy while Kigezi drew 0-0 with Lions.

Airtel Uganda a telecommunication company started this Football Campaign in 2011 and it is done annually where teams with players under- 17 years from Uganda face each other.
The ARS was started in 2011 with the objective of providing a plat form to expose young talented boys and girls.
Bushenyi District Sports Coordinator, Mr.Kwerebera Bashir told www.mknewslink.com that the main aim of this tournament is to discover and develop talents among the Ugandan citizens.
Some of the players on national team whose talents were discovered via this campaign include Farouk Miya, Shaban, Paul Mucureezi, Tumwesigye Frank Zaga among others.
