Twelve civil servants from the three districts of Masindi, Hoima and Bulisa were yesterday awarded over diligent service delivery.
This was during the commemoration of public service day at Masindi stadium which was organized by Recreation for Development and peace (RDP) and action aid Uganda.
The civil servants were given certificates of recognition and appreciation accompanied by a token.
From Masindi district, Fred Kisembo the Assistant chief administrative officer,ConsolatNyandera,the nursing officer Masindi hospital, Charles Muhabwa and AgnessKimuli the office attendants at Masindi district were recognized as the best performers among the Masindi civil servants.
In Hoima district they included; JohnByakagaba the district planner, Kato Yahaya, Grace Bachia the nursing officer Hoima district and Innocent Ahimbisibwe the clinical officer.
In Bulisa district they included; Andrew Tumusiime, the office attendant in the office of the CAO, Jolly Asiimwe the Bulisa district education Assistant, AltonBusinge, the accounts assistant and Silvia Atuhairwe the senior Bulisa clinical officer.
Robert Muhangi, the executive director, Recreation for Development and peace explained that they engaged each local government to select the best performers depending on their records they have in thgeir specific districts adding that they focused in the areas of agriculture, Health, education and any other sector.
He added that they also focused on civil servants with a clean record in civil service, hard work and who are corrupt free.
Speaking shortly after receiving the awards, the beneficiaries attributed their success to hard work and being corrupt free adding that the awards have motivated them to serve the people.
