100 PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR DEFYING PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVES IN RUBIRIZI

At least 100 people are being detained by police in Rubirizi district for defying the presidential directives aimed at fighting the spread of Corona virus.
This was revealed by the RDC Ms Harriet Nakamya who also doubles as the chairperson Corona virus task force while talking to www.mknewslink.com reporter on Thursday.
RDC Nakamya said most of these were arrested from bars taking alcohol and others are bar owners who were opening the bars even after 7PM during the curfew time.
She also warned all people who are still defying the directives to stop the habit urging that if they land on them, they will be arrested and charged.
She applauded efforts injected by the area Members of Parliament who have given a helping hand to the district urging other capable Ugandans to come up and help the suffering Ugandans through the district task force.
Dr. Seth Tibenda , the District Health Officer refuted claims that they have a Corona virus positive patient saying no one has tested positive of the virus in the district.
He said they had two people in quarantine but they were discharged after spending their mandatory 14 days of quarantine at Kicwamba Health Center IV.
Dr. Tibenda said that as the district, they had more than 60 alerts, 20 suspects and since then they have taken samples from the 20, 15 tested Negative awaiting the results of other 5 samples.
