11 PEOPLE FERRIED FROM KAMPALA TO DISORGANISE PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN MBARARA DETAINED

Police in Mbarara are holding 11 people over disobedience of lawful orders in Mbarara city.
ASP Samson Kasasira the Rwizi police mouthpiece confirmed the arrest of these suspects who were apprehended on 13th Jan.2021after they were ferried into Mbarara.
Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that the suspects confessed that 40 of them had been ferried from the capital Kampala by Mr. Emmy Mbarebaki to guard his votes at cost of 150,000shs but only gave them a deposit of 20,000shs.
Mbarebaki was vying for Mbarara city south MP seat though he lost to Mwine Mpaka in the just concluded parliamentary elections.
Kasasira told www.mknewslink.com that they also revealed that they were being accommodated in the home of Rtd. Maj. Mutungi Willy who at the time of the event was admitted at Doctor’s plaza Mbarara and has since denied any involvement in the matter.
Meanwhile, the file has already been submitted to the Resident State Attorney for Perusal and it was sanctioned so they await to appear before courts of law.
