11 PEOPLE UNDER COVID19 SURVEILLANCE IN GREATER BUSHENYI, FOUR ARE IN BUSHENYI DISTRICT

The Bushenyi Resident District Commissioner has ordered all traders along Ishaka high street to close their shops with effect from 15th April except the market street which sells food.
The RDC Jolly Tibemanya revealed that only recognized health facilities, banks and food streets will continue to operate but all other streets in Ishaka town will have to close.
Tibemanya warned that there will be no more negotiations with people who open bars adding that the moment they are caught ,they will be taken to courts of laws to be charged with disobeying laws.
Tibemanya said these yesterday at the district headquarters during 6th meeting of Bushenyi District Covid 19 task force.
Bushenyi District Police Commender Joel Komakech said that “ I will be suspended because of failing to implement president’s directive.“
Komakech said this after he discovered that there was a big number of vehicles at Ishaka high street thus violating president’s directive of suspending the vehicles from the road.
According, Bushenyi District Health Officer Dr.Edward Mwesigye the they have received a call from ministry of health instructing them to follow up 11 people who are having signs of corona virus.
Dr. Mwesigye revealed that some are from Rubirizi whereas four of them who are already under surveillance are from Bushenyi .
