12 CORONA VIRUS SUSPECTS DISCHARGED FROM INSTITUTIONAL QUARANTINE IN RUKUNGIRI

12 people who have been under Institutional quarantine in Rukungiri district have been discharged after the mandatory 14 days.
Without disclosing more details about the discharged suspects, the Rukungiri district health officer Dr.Akasima Mucunguzi urged those still in institutional quarantine to ensure following the set measures in a bid to stem the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr Akasima also asked Ugandans to remain calm as they practice all available guidelines to prevent the spread of Corona virus in the country.
Dr Akasima added that only 28 people have remained under Institutional quarantine and they are being monitored on a daily basis.
Dan Kaguta, the Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner said that the discharged suspects were fully monitored and none of them developed signs and symptoms of COVID-19 disease.
Kaguta also called co-operation and oneness in these trial moments as the country is fighting against the spread of COVID 19 pandemic.
The ministry of health on Sunday announced that 4 more cases had tested positive in Uganda bringing the total number of cases to 52.
