12 FIELD ARTILLERY UPDF OFFICERS RETIRED IN MASINDI

12 non commissioned UPDF officers have oct 29th 2024 been sent off from Masindi field artillery Barracks after retiring from active service.
Speaking during the ceremony held at Masindi field artillery Barracks, Brigadier General Daniel Kakono who was chief guest asked for total army discipline as they go and start new life at their respective places.
He says retirement is a process and and its very important to plan well.
”I call upon you to be careful as you go in your places, fast understand the situation by putting money on things that are developmental because its their money they worked for through hardship ” .
He also asked the retirees to keep informed by knowing what is going on in their country .
Speaking on behalf of other retirees , steven Tomedo warrant officer class 1 expressed happiness upon reaching retirement saying it is not easy since they under go many things.
Tomedo also says he is thankful to God since he joined the force in 1986, he has never been convicted of any crime and asked for forgiveness incase there are any other things he did that wasn’t pleasing his bosses.
The officer called upon the active officers to persevere and be disciplined as well as being professional in whatever they do.
