The National Resistance Movement electoral commission, Dr. Tanga Odoi, yesterday urged twelve aspirants for the Ibanda municipality parliamentary seat to play mature politics.
Dr. Tanga Odoi was speaking to NRM supporters and aspirants who have expressed interests in the posts of Member of Parliament, Mayor, and local government.
The twelve aspirants include Mr. Deus Rogers Mulinde, Ignitius Igunduura, Tarsis Rwaburindoore,Peter Agaba, Arthur Nuwagaba Rwomushana, Ben. Kakwene Mazirwe, Innocent Mwine Bakamuhara, John Mugyenyi , Lawrence Nuwagira and Fred Saja Akambwe Spanner. Ms. Leticia Tuheebwe, a teacher at Kagongo Parents Senior secondary school is the only lady in the race.
Odoi however cautioned the people who are planning to cause chaos during election time noting that they will be arrested by security and will face the law.
He also urged the candidates not to come as independents after losing in the NRM primaries.
