The Bushenyi district health officer Dr. Edward Mwesigye has revealed that the 17 Bushenyi residents under surveillance after having returned from corona infected countries are all in healthy condition and following ministry of health guidelines except one.
Dr. Mwesigye told www.mknewslink.com at 2:00pm today 25th March 2020 that the 17 residents who recently returned from infected countries are being quarantined in their homes except one who misbehaved.
He added that the one who misbehaved is a resident of Kakanju who returned from Rwanda and he is currently being quarantined at Kampala International University Teaching Hospital.
Asked on why they never put the rest in one place, he said it is also risky to put such people into one place adding that other problems may come up.
He told this editor that his staff were in the field to further observe the conditions of the Bushenyi Residents.
The DHO has urged Bushenyi residents to continue observing preventive guidelines as given by the ministry of health and district task force headed by RDC Jolly Tibemanya.
So far Bushenyi has not confirmed any case of COVID 19 though Uganda has registered 14 including an 8 months old baby.
