18 UNCLAIMED ANIMALS STRANDED AT KABALE POLICE STATION

Police in Kabale district is stranded with 18 unclaimed animals that were recovered from suspected thieves.
The animals that are now at police include 14 goats, two sheep, and a cow with its heifer.
The 12 goats were intercepted in an operation by police to curb animal theft on Tuesday this week at Butobere in a Toyota Premio registration number UAH 276W
Other 14 goats, two sheep, and a cow with its heifer were yesterday recovered from Rugyendeira cell, Mwanjari ward, and Southern division in Kabale municipality in the home of Charles Bahirira.
The Kigezi Region police spokesperson Elly Maate said that the 17 goats have today been claimed by five owners from Ntungamo district and they are now stranded with 18 unclaimed animals.
Maate condemned people who dont want to work but concentrate on stealing properties for those who suffer for their welfare.
Some of the people who have recovered their goats said that the goats were stolen on different nights, they commended polices effort to recover the animals however much some animals are still missing.
Denis Nuunu also from Nyakyera sub county in Ntungamo who lost 20 goats on 18th this Month, has recovered 5, John Kabeikire a resident of Ibaare cell, Ngoma parish in Nyakyera Sub county of Kabale district, said that out of the 15 goats that were stolen from his kraal yesterday, he has recovered 5.
However, Daudi Byaruhanga said that all his 6 goats that were stolen on 21 of this Month have been recovered which he attributes to polices effort.
