2 KABALE MOTORCYCLISTS KILLED IN HEAD ON COLLISION ACCIDENT

Two people have reportedly died on spot while two others escaped with serious injuries following a motor accident in Kabale.
The accident which involved two motorcycles; reg. no. UEQ 211B and no. UEY 297K occurred on 18/3/22 at around 0730hrs at Kobucere along Katuna Kabale highway.
According to Elly Maate the Kigezi region police mouthpiece, the two cyclists; Gilbert Byaruhanga of Kacerere Katuna town council and Daniel Musasizi of Irashaniro village Bugarama parish Buhara sub county died on spot after a head on collision.
Maate told www.mknewslink.com that the two survivors; Olowo Alipod 32 years, a resident of Tororo and Moses Ocwo 31 years of Mbuya Nakawa Division were both passengers on motorcycle reg. no. UEY 297K.
The two survivors were rushed to Kabale regional referral hospital and Police visited the scene, Postmortem was done and both bodies handed over to the relatives for burial.
The police spokesperson attributed the accident to reckless riding of the rider on motorcycle no.UEY297K who was overtaking in a corner on a road covered by mist.
