20 YEAR OLD MURDERED IN RUKIGA DISTRICT

The territorial police of Rukiga are hunting for unknown suspects who allegedly assaulted a 20 year old man to death.

Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson identified the deceased as James Kamugisha of Kihindi a resident of Rwakumuhi cell Nyakabungo parish Muhanga TC in Rukiga district had been assaulted and died instantly.

Maate revealed that yesterday 17/8/2022 at around 0200hrs the victim was found lying on the roadside by Tayebwa Justine unconscious, She moved and informed the victim’s parents and they immediately moved to the scene and organised means of transport to rush him for medical attention at Kabale but before reaching Kabale, he passed on and they returned the body home and went and made a report at Bukinda police station and the in charge informed Rukiga Cps to respond.

Maate said that Scene was visited, processed, postmortem was done and some arrests made to aid in investigations.

The case of suspected murder was registered at Rukiga Central Police station under reference number CRB: 378/2022
