OVER 2,000 KABALE PUPILS GET GRADE “U” IN MOCK EXAMS

A total of 2,291 pupils of the 5,104 pupils who registered for the 2017 Kabale district primary joint mock including the newly created Rukiga district are ungraded.
According to the Kabale district education officer Kenneth Sabiiti Baabo, out of the 5104 pupils from the two districts of Kabale and Rukiga, only 126 pupils secured division One, 900 pupils are in division II, 703 pupils in division III, 949 in division IV, 2291 students ungraded while 135 never turned up for the examination.
Baabo added that parents must cooperate with district authorities in uplifting the education sector in the district so that every child accesses education and is catered for to do any exams and to pass.
Speaking during the handover of the results, an occasion held at Kabale district Rukiiko hall at Makanga hill Kabale municipality, the Kabale district LC5 Chairperson, Patrick Besigye Keihwa who was the chief guest attributed poor performance by some learners to continued cases of students’ absenteeism by parents at the expense of attending to family cores.
He added that parents have to embrace education if they are to realize its role in the development of any community. Keihwa also encouraged teachers to always be research full in order to equip the learners with new and correct content for their academic excellence.
