A 27 year old man in Ibanda  Municipality  has survived death  when he tried to commit suicide in his rented house  but

was rushed to a nearby health centre while in critical condition. Simon  Tusingwire , is a resident of Kyabugaija cell  in Bufunda ward, Ibanda municipality.

Tusingwire  was tested by TASO and found to be HIV positive and has been receiving his medication at Ruhoko Health centre four.
However, today morning he allegedly tried to commit suicide. His wife whose names have  been held  by police to protect her privacy says her husband had not spent the previous night at his marital home and upon his coming he ran crazy and tried to strangle his own three  children before being separated  by  neighbours .
The wife of Tusingwire reported the matter before Family and Protection Unit at Ibanda Central Police Station, His wife claims she was not helped  as the latter allegedly asked money for   fuel from her before they could apprehend the husband who was in great pains.
Upon returning home, she claims that her husband allegedly took an overdose of ARVs as the public watched in a bid to end his life.
By press time, Tusingwire was being taken to Ruhoko Health centre four to receive first aid. Tusingwire told the press from his bed at Ruhoko health centre 1V and, denied the allegations

loaves of bread at star loaf company in Kabale

Some Workers of star loaf company in Kabale municipality have today
laid down tools protesting non payment their salaries.
The workers accuse their company manager Anna Ntwirenabo for not
paying them for over three months.
The workers who include Edison Muhoozi, Abel Muhimbise Tumwebaze
Darison among others said that they have been demanding for the money
but when they met Ntwirenabo yesterday, she ordered them never to
appear in company premises.
The workers also noted that they are fed up of empty promises yet they
can no longer pay their needs that include school fees, rent, among
others.

The Manager star loaf Kabale Anna Ntwirenabo admits that the workers
have not been paid for June salaries and others allowances of May but
not three months as claimed by the workers.
Ntwirenabo however said that they are working had to have them paid by
Wednesday this week.

OCCID-Mbarara police-Taban-Cheriga-speaking-to-journalists

Police in Mbarara are investigating circumstances under which two people were found dead over the weekend allegedly due to excessive consumption of alcohol.

The deceased have been identified as Emmanuel Orishaba alias Buchaman 40 years a resident of Lugazi cell and Yozefu Betegeka 76 a resident of Kisenyi cell both in Kakoba division Mbarara municipality.

The two were found dead in their homes at the weekend.

Taban Chiriga the OCCID Mbarara central police station says preliminary investigations indicate that the two died as a result of excessive consumption of alcohol.

The Lugazi cell chairman Kato Kiharara urges people to avoid excessive consumption of alcohol and appeals to land lords to always report drunkards to the authorities for possible assistance.
