KABAROLE CAO CALLS FOR INVOLVEMENT OF CIVIL SOCIETY IN LOCAL GOV’T PLANNING

The chief administrative officer for kabarole district Mr.Balaba Dunstan has urged the district local governments to involve civil society organizations in their planning process if they are to achieve better service delivery in the district.
Balaba said that people can hardly obtain better service unless the districts engage in civil society organizations CSOS in sharing their work plans and experiences.
He was speaking yesterday to the CSOS monitors from Kibuku district under their umbrella body civil society package at his office quarters Kitumba.
The team was led by Katama James and the executive director Rwenzori anti corruption Mrs. Angella Byangwa on mission to establish how districts partner with civil society organizations in delivering their services to people.
Mr. Balaba told the team to work hand in hand with them as one way of obtaining development which will in the return put Kabarole district on map of the nation.
He also called upon the CSOS to partner with the district local government noting that this will help in mobilizing people to work hard hence achieving their set targets in future.
Mr. Katama James the Kibuku district team leader said that this is the one way of eating on the fruits of unity as well as fighting for poverty in the region.
He also revealed that if all other districts in Rwenzori region can adopt this program, development would be achieved and Uganda will be a good place to live in
