BREAKING NEWS: RWAKATENDE SSS H/MASTER ARRESTED FOR BARRING A’LEVEL CANDIDATES FROM DOING EXAMS

IN BUSHENYI—
Police in Bushenyi have Monday afternoon arrested the headmaster of Rwakatende senior secondary school for barring five A’level students from doing their History paper six exam for failure to complete school dues.
According to greater Bushenyi region police publist, Martial Tumusiime, the headmaster one Festo Mubangizi was this afternoon arrested after the five students walked from the school in Bwera parish near Nyakabirizi division in Bushenyi Ishaka municipality to police to report the case.
PRO Tumusiime identified the students who were barred from doing the exams against the Uganda National Examinations Board directive as Asold Tumwesigye, Beston Nasasira, Modern Kiiza, Edwin Mubangizi and patience Kamugabirwe.
In an interview with the students by www.mknewslink.com editor, the total fees the students owe the school is only 170,000= in school dues.
According to Tumusiime, UNEB released a circular to all head teachers to allow all the students who owe schools fees to do exams and then withhold the certificates.
WHAT DOES MISSING THIS PAPER MEAN TO THE FIVE STUDENTS?
It means that they have missed a year because currently students do three principles as opposed to four in the past therefore, they will have to repeat next year because they consider three principles and they have done two principles[subjects].
OWNERSHIP OF THE SCHOOL
The school is owned by a senior prisons officer, Frank Kamanyire and students claim that when they were barred from doing their exam in the morning Mr. Frank Kamanyire was present.
