2017 PLE RESULTS OUT
The Uganda National Examination Board has released the 2017 primary leaving examination results registering a better performance rate compared to 2016.
Releasing the examinations at the office of the president, the UNEB secretary general Daniel Odongo says that out of the 628,606 pupils who turned up for the exams,571,252 (90.9%) passed the exams while 571,252 failed the exams.
Odongo discloses that a total of 57,198 pupils passed in first division, 293,977 passed in the second division, 128,573 passed in third division while 91,504 passed in forth division.57,354 in U hence failing completely.
He argues that a candidate is deemed to have passed if she or he obtained division grades of 1,2,3 and 4 completely.

He says that this year’s performance has improved compared to last year since 90.9% of pupils passed this year compared to 87% last year.
