680,000 UGANDAN GRADUATES DON’T HAVE JOBS—-MINISTER MUYINGO

About 680,000 Ugandan graduates are un employed in the job market and this a dangerous to the youth and as a result crimes are registered daily due to hopelessness.
These remarks and many more were revealed by state minister for higher education Hon. Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo who was the guest of honour at the 10th graduation of Uganda Technical College Bushenyi today April 07, 2017.
He also expressed his disappointment to a rate in which girls join technical institutions urging parents to take their daughters to technical schools since they train hand on skills and job creators not job seekers
The minister also said, the government is planning to elevate Uganda technical college Bushenyi to a center for excellence. He noted that government has provided 3.9 million US Dollars to reconstruct the college.
In his speech, the principal Mr. Silver Mukwasibwe urged graduates to use the skills they attained for the betterment of their lives, “To the graduands i tell you that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a footstep.You are the creators and designers of our life so it’s up to you to determine it” Mukwasibwe urged graduands
The 10th graduation saw a total of 661 students graduate with higher and ordinary diplomas in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering as well as industrial ceramics water.
