Bushenyi tycoon, John Headex Rwamutwe was kidnapped Tuesday night from Bushenyi town and was today morning found dead in Ibanda district.
According to Bushenyi district police commander Damiano Katwesiime, they got information from Ibanda police that Rwamutwe had been found dead in his surf red vehicle.
PRO Tumusiime who is currently at the scene in Ibanda told www.mknewslink.com editor on phone that police headquarters advised Ibanda and Bushenyi police not to touch the vehicle and body until forensic experts arrive from Kampala.
“We have been waiting here since morning, The vehicle is still locked by the way I cannot confirm whether the body inside of John Rwamutwe or another person” he said.
He confirmed that the OC Nyamushekyera prison stopped his guards at the gate to shoot in the air when they had assailants beating the deceased after they had kidnapped from Bushenyi town.
The prisons guards who were manning the prisons gate heard and saw the vehicle where Rwamutwe was being tortured but when they contacted their boss for orders to shoot in the air, he refused and instead opted to call DPC Katwesiime long after the assailants had driven off the deceased in his vehicle.
Residents of Bushenyi town are all blaming the OC Nyamushekyera, who has been a cadet but was confirmed a month ago into prisons service. He doesnot have any experience in security according to sources from prisons.
Bushenyi and Ishaka towns walk up today to the sad news of Rwamutwe’s death and currently business men and women are gathered in groups talking about the murder in cold blood of Rwamutwe.
