DEFILER SENTENCED TO 26 YEARS IN PRISON

The high court in Rukungiri presided over by Justice Moses Kazibwe
this week convicted and sentenced 32 aged years Musinguzi Martin
a resident of Buzariro, Bihomberwa, Kihihi town council Kunungu
district to 26 years.
Musinguzi Martin was accused of defiling two girls, Ainembabazi
fortunate 14 and Kukunsakwe Dorothy 16 years then.
The prosecution side led by state attorney Nakasa Aminah told court
that on 29/1/2013, Musinguzi defiled the two girls while in his house
at around 10:00am when their parents had gone for digging.
Four witnesses were presented to court including two victims, their
mother Tukamuhebwa Penenah and a doctor who examined the victims to
pin the accused.
While defending himself Musinguzi Martin denied knowing the two victims.
Justice Moses Kazibwe while giving his judgment said “basing on the
evidence adduced to court and the witnesses and since this act is
rampant in the country I hereby sentence and convict you to 26 years, you
act as the example to others planning to do the same”.
