The bishop South Ankole Diocese Rt Rev.Nathan Ahimbisibwe has reiterated the need for the believers to prioritize hard working and engage in income generating projects as the only way to eliminate poverty in their communities.
According to Bishop Ahimbisibwe over dependence by locals to government has led them not to venture in any business for self-reliance.
He made remarks Tuesday 20th June 2017while commissioning the gravity water flow scheme at Ruzinga C.O.U Rukoni Archdeaconry Ntungamo District constructed by African community technical services (ACTS)-Uganda funded by Canada.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe commended the ACTS – Uganda working under Ankole Diocese for supplying water to the people of Ntungamo asking the beneficiaries to jealously guard it well because water is life and wealth.
The Project manager Richard Musinguzi noted that the scheme will serve 35 cells out of 65 cells in Nyakyera sub county Ruhaama County and it will serve all people regardless of their religions.
