One of the Bushenyi district service commission members; Julius Ishungisa has dismissed rumors that he is resigning from the commission.
Talking to the www.mknewslink editors on mobile phone today, Ishungisa asserted that he has not resigned and he is not intending to resign. “I have not resigned and am not intending to resign” he said.
Rumours from Jafari Basajjabalaba’s camp have been speculating around that Ishungisa is resgning from the district service commission.
The controversial service commission commenced it’s work this Month after high court Judge Dancun Gaswaga delivered a consent judgment ordering Jafari Basajjabalaba to sign appointment letters for the members.
Basajjabalaba had earlier rejected the commission on grounds that it was instituted by Willis Bashasha; the former district chairman.
The district stayed without a service commission until July 5,2017 when the high court delivered the judgment ordering the district chairman to allow the commission commence work.
The commission is led by Ms Lydia Rwakishaya who is being assisted by Julius Ishungisa and Nathan Behangaana as members.
Basajjabalaba is now set to nominate only two more members to join the mentioned above.
This means that Basajjabalaba will not be having any influence over the service commission whose majority members were nominated by Willis Bashaasha.
