MAJ.RURANGARANGA TAUGHT ME CLEAN POLITICS–FORMER MP ODO TAYEBWA

The former MP for Bushenyi-ishaka municipality;Hon.Odo Tayebwa has praised the fallen former Uganda Peoples’ Congress National chairman; Maj.Edward Rurangaranga for moving a motion that turned Bushenyi town council into a municipality.
In an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com editors in Bushenyi, Tayebwa disclosed that during the 2002-2006 Bushenyi district council when he was the speaker, Maj.Rurangaranga successfully moved the motion to grant Bushenyi-Ishaka town council a municipality status.
Tayebwa further commended the Rurangaranga for expanding Bushenyi town council from Kyeitembe to Ishaka and from Katungu to Nyakabiriizi when he was still the minister of local government in Obote two‘s regime.
He says he will never forget Maj.Rurangaranga who groomed him into politics taught him how to be pragmatic and exemplary in all ways.
Odo says Rurangaranga will not only be missed by greater Bushenyi but also the Country at large.
He said Rurangaranga believed in development for all, arguing that during Obote one’s regime when he was the minister, he did everything possible and ensured that Kitagata hosipital was built for greater Bushenyi and the neighbouring districts.
Maj.Rurangaranga; a renown UPC diehard died on Monday night in his home at Kaitanjijo in Kitagata sub-county Sheema district after he had attended his friend’s burial in Ntungamo.
