KANUNGU BISHOP ZOREKA: “MY REVEREND LIED AT AGE LIMIT MEETING, I DONT SUPPORT CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT AT ALL

The Bishop of Kinkizi diocese Rt. Rev Dan Zoreka has blasted his four reverands who attended a consultation meeting that endorsed the proposed controversial constitutional amendment bill No.102b
On Thursday, a section of selected Kanungu district political, civic, religious leaders and stakeholders converged in a consultative meeting that was organized by Kinkizi east MP Chris Baryomunsi in conjunction with district woman MP Elizabeth Karungi at Kanungu district council hall on Thursday.
During the meeting, a one Eldad Beyeza of Kanyantorogo Church of Uganda gave an assurance that he was delegated by Bishop Zoreka adding that those who are against the bill are ignorant and lack constitutional knowledge.
Now, While Presiding over a confirmation services held at Kancerere COU in Kanyantorogo Sub County, Bishop Zoreka said he was neither invited nor did he delegate anybody.
He asked his reverend to present their personal views not as the diocese because the diocese has its spokesperson.
Meanwhile, Kanungu district the woman MP Elizabeth Karungi said as people’s representative in parliament they will go with what majority of the local leaders that have resolved though others seem to have different views.
She said those de-campaigning the bill won’t influence anything because the authority to vote over the matter is invested in parliament.
