FOUR ROBBERS, TWO VEHICLES ARRESTED IN ISHAKA AIRTEL ROBBERY

IN BUSHENYI—
Police in Bushenyi are holding four suspected robbers and two vehicles after foiled robbery at Airtel shop in Ishaka town Bushenyi district.
According to Greater Bushenyi Regional police commander, Mr. Eddie Serujonji, the planed robbery was foiled by police on Monday night this week.

He added that the robbers put on gun point one the staffs of Airtel and took the keys from her and then went and opened and started searching for money in the shop.
RPC Serujonji added that among the arrested include a staff of Airtel Ishaka branch who connived with the thieves.
He added that also in their custody is a woman who was with the robbers at the shop.
He also told www.mknewslink.com editor that when robbers were still searching for money in the shop, Bushenyi police was alerted and came and arrested the robbers.
Mr. Serujonji went ahead and told this editor that police before arresting them shot four bullets and then the robbers surrendered to police.
He revealed that the robbers had two vehicles parked outside waiting for them to finish the deal and then drive off. He said that two hehicles were also arrested and are parked at Bushenyi police station.
The RPC declined to name the suspects because investigations are still in infancy. He added that the OCCIID and his deputy were in Ishaka gathering more evidence.
This is a second robbery in Bushenyi in less than a week. Pride microfinance Bank Bushenyi branch was also robbed by thieves on Friday last week.
A guard and a robber are also being detained at Bushenyi police station. RPC Serujonji noted that he is working hard to ensure that robbers are wiped out of greater Bushenyi.
“I and my team are working hard to eliminate robbers from greater Bushenyi region. We shall arrest all the robbers” RPC Serujonji revealed.
