PROF. KAROORO TO INTRODUCE COURSE UNIT AT IBANDA UNIVERSITY TO FIGHT CORRUPTION

IN BUSHENYI—-
The vice chancellor of Ibanda University in western Uganda Prof. Emmanuel Karooro has vowed to start a course unit in ethics, etiquette and integrity [EEI] aimed and rooting out corruption out of Ugandan societies.
Prof. Karooro added this course unit will be done by all students who will join Ibanda university in addition to courses they will have chosen to undertake.
He said this Sunday Dec. 03, 2017, during prayers at all saints greater in Bushenyi town.
Prof. Karooro who is also the head of laity for west Ankole diocese told Christians that he greatly thanks God the almighty for making him a vice chancellor of Ibanda university.
He noted that corruption is one of the biggest problems of this country Uganda therefore when fresh graduates come out of the universities with corrupt free minds then the problem will be solved.

He hailed his former employers like Hassan Basajabalaba of Kampala international University [KIU] who appointed him deputy vice chancellor of KIU western campus twice. He was a principal at Ankole western institute of science and technology now Ankole western university
He also in the same vain hailed government for the 16 years he spent at National teachers’college Kakoba as a principal. He said that this gave him experience that will make him manage Ibanda University.
The prayers at all saints Bushenyi greater were presided over by Rev. Can. William Twinamatsiko who called upon Christians to respect one another and always call in God whenever they have problems.
Prof. Karooro is a strong educationist in Uganda because he introduced studying of Kiswahili in national teachers colleges [diploma in Kiswahili] and as the result, primary and secondary schools started teaching Kiswahili as a subject.

He also introduced diploma in primary education. Teachers would not upgrade but when he was still at National Teachers college Kakaba, he introduced this diploma and all institutions started copying from him and started it as well.
