‘WE SHALL ARREST ALL KANYAMAS BROUGHT TO IGARA EAST BY-ELECTIONS’—RPC

IN BUSHENYI—
Greater Bushenyi regional police commander, Eddie Serujonji has vowed to arrest all the Kanyamas who are expected in the constituency by one of the candidates.
In an interview with www.mknewslink.com editor in Bushenyi town today, Serujonji revealed that whoever brings Kanyamas [Men body builders] to Igara East Constituency by-elections will be dealt with.
“If the kanyamas are coming to Igara East and Bushenyi district as tourists, then they are welcome but if they are coming to disorganize the elections then we shall arrest them” RPC said.
“By the way my cells are empty. Let them dare and come” He added.
The above comments came as a result of reports that one of the candidates was scheduled to bring in Kanyamas to beat and disorganize elections.
Voting is for Thursday Dec. 14. 2017. Igara East parliamentary seat fell vacant on Oct. 03, 2017 after Micheal Mawanda successfully petitioned court of appeal and Andrew Martial lost the seat.
Other candidates in the race include; Benjamin Katana [independent] Kananura Bebards [independent], Amstrong David independent and FDC’s Christine Bekunika. Mawanda is independent and Martial is NRM.
Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye is expected to spend two days in the constituency beginning from tomorrow Monday Dec.11, 2017 and Tuesday 12, 2017.
President Yoweri Museveni will campaign for the NRM candidate on Tuesday Dec. 12, 2017 on the last day of campaigns.
