RWENZORI BISHOP SUSPENDS FIVE REVERENDS FOR IMMORAL BEHAVIORS

The Diocese of Ruwenzori has suspended five priests from priesthood over immoral practices.
This was yesterday announced by the Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Reuben B Kisembo Amooti during the Priestly Ordination Service at St. John’s Cathedral Kabarole.
Bishop Kisembo named the sacked priests as Rev. Jowel Manyindo who was parish priest Rwimi All Saints church, Rev. Jonathan Kyangasha Chaplain Canon Apolo PTC, Rev. Felix Batalingaya, Rev. Paul Kinyerere and Deacon Alinaitwe Abel who was on pastoral work at Bunyonyi COU parish Kijura.
According to Bishop Kisembo, the Diocesan Tribunal that sat two weeks back, after analyzing their immoral behaviors that tarnishes the Anglican Church, overwhelmingly agreed that these men of God be suspended. He says, after the suspension,they are not allowed to perform and preside any duty in the name of the church.
The Bishop Ordered them to return the ordination certificates they received during their ordination day with immediate effect.
While preaching during the ordination service, Rev. Canon. Willy Odola Francis asked priests to serve God diligently, be committed and faithful to God.
