BUSHENYI YOUTH GET GOATS, WARNED ON HIV/AIDS

Youth in Bushenyi district have received over 30 goats under a youth development project initiated by Ms Annet Mugisha.
Launching the goat project today at Bushenyi multipurpose hall, Ms Mugisha warned the youth not to slaughter them if they are to fight poverty among themselves.
The goat’s beneficiaries were youths picked from 13 sub-counties that form Bushenyi district.
The deputy Resident District Commissioner; Damian Turyatunga commended Ms Mugisha for her initiative to eradicate poverty among youth through giving them goats.
Turyatunga further urged the youth to rear the goats before they shift to cattle rearing adventure.
The national youth council chair person; Christine Abba warned the youth to avoid all avenues that lead to HIV/AIDS if they are to future responsible citizens.
Annet Mugisha who is the wife to Eng.Silver Mugisha;the Managing Director National Water & sewerage corporation decried the rampant habit of betting among youth which might be source of poverty and crimes in community.
The youth who looked optimistic commended Mrs.Annet Mugisha and her husband; Eng. Mugisha for supporting youth programs in the district.
The association’s main objective is to eradicate poverty among youth by starting up income generating projects.
Early this month, Mrs. Annet Mugisha gave 19 goats to Bumbaire Youth Development Association in Bumaire sub-county,Bushenyi district.
