DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES OVERWHELM BUSHENYI RDC OFFICE

The Bushenyi Resident District Commissioner; Peter Mugisha has vehemently blamed rampant cases of domestic violence on poverty that leads to sale or distribution of land among family members.
In exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com reporter, Mugisha revealed that his office receives one case of domestic violence daily which is a threat to the community in the district.
The RDC emphasized that disagreements erupt from sale and distribution of land where children support one parent and consequently fighting among the family members.
He also cited infidelity between couples to be another source of domestic violence that results to loss of lives.
The RDC appealed to couples to always solve their differences at a lowest level report to police before they resort to taking laws into their hands.
He adds that couples and children should respect the law because it clearly states that; in a home, nobody should sell land without the consent of the other family members.
He advised the married couples to always respect each other and avoid using abusive language their family matters are to be settled amicably.
