BESIGYE CASE ADJOURNED

The Rukungiri grade one magistrate Andrew Katuburiki has adjourned the case in which the four time presidential aspirant Dr. Con Kiiza
Besigye to 12/4/2018.
Dr. Con Kiiza Besigye was charged with others; the FDC party president
Patrick Amoriati Oboi, FDC secretary for Mobilization Ingrid Turinawe,
Rukungiri municipality councilor Innocent Tashobya, Joseph Akankwasta, Bamuhangire and Darius Tweyambe, Fred Asiimwe; all FDC activists.
They were charged with two counts of inciting violence, malicious
damage to property and disobedience of statutory duty and it is
alleged that the 8 committed the offences on 18 Oct 2018 while in
Rukungiri rallying for the FDC party president Patrick Amoriati Oboi.
The accused through their lawyer Mark Mwesigye, today asked court to
adjourn the case on ground that A1 Dr. Col. Kiiza Besigye was not in
court today.
However the senior state attorney Rukungiri Charles Muhereza asked
court to write a criminal summons to Dr. Con Kiiza Besigye to appear
before court on the day of hearing.
Andrew Katuburiki adjourned the case to to12/4/ 2018 on grounds that chief magistrate Julius Borore Kyaka who was supposed to hear the case was absent.
