Bushenyi Bubilee SACCO will very soon be turned into a commercial bank in a bid to streamline it’s services.
Bushenyi Jubilee SACCO operates under West Ankole diocese in greater Bushenyi sub-region.
The chairman board of directors Bushenyi Jubilee SACCO ;Rev.Dancan Mugumya made the revelation today while speaking at the 12th Annual General meeting held at Katungu Mothers Union centre in Bushenyi town.
Rev.Mugumya further disclosed that the bishop of West Ankole Diocese; Rt.Rev.Johnson Twinomujuni has given them a helping hand in mobilizing Ug.Sh.300,000,000 to support the SACCO.
He says 23 billion shillings is needed before the SACCO becomes a commercial bank.
The SACCO members hailed the diocesan synod for allocating a piece of land to them where Jubilee SACCO headquarters will be built.
According to Rev.Mugumya, the SACCO has so far saved Ug.sh39,000,000 in addition to the members dividends.
The Bushenyi district Commercial officer; David Byamukama who was the chief guest appealed to the SACCO members to save for their future if they are to live a better life.
During the AGM,Rev.Dancan Mugumya was re-elected the chairman board of directors deputized by Jonath Tumwine.

Police in Fort portal has confirmed receiving more complainants accusing the self-proclaimed Bishop of Light of Life Ministries, Robert Musinguzi of conning them over 10 million shillings.

While at police, the managing director MUMPA technical services identified as Bernard Mugume; a resident of Mbarara district ,told police that the self-proclaimed Bishop Musinguzi in July last year began a process of constructing a new church in the names of Agape ministries international and started welcoming offers to tender the construction.

During the process Mr. Mugume who was interested in taking up the job was asked to pay refundable fee of 10 million shillings as job security which he did, however Musinguzi asked him to begin the job with immediate effect, which he detested noting that the agreement he had was not fully signed as there was no comfort letter, no plans for the building yet and even the 20% advance was not paid as clearly stipulated in the contract.
It was from this background the suspect began tossing Mugume in space like a coin and accusing him of incompetence which prompted Mugume to rush to Barclays bank, where he was to acquire the funds and cross check on whether the company Agape church foundation existed, only to be told that it was a hoax and he had been coned.

Mugume also noted that Bishop Musinguzi must refund his money and he is no longer interested in the contract.

The Bushenyi District commercial officer; David Byamukama as strongly warned bank officials to stop the habit of leaking bank clients’ information pertaining to their accounts.
Byamukama says some bank officials have developed the habit of revealing particulars of their clients’ bank accounts an act that has resulted into abduction and death of innocent Ugandans.
He cited incidents of Susan Magara who was recently abducted by unknown people who demanded a ransom of Ug.sh.700, 000,000 before killing her. He dds that the captors had accessed Magara’s bank account information.
Byamukama also gave an example of two Finish Nastionals who were killed in Uganda after being abducted by un identified assailants after demanding and receiving a ransom. In related news the Justine Bagyenda; the outgoing Executive Director in charge of Supervision at Bank of Uganda some official at Barclays Bank revealed her bank accounts information that resulted into being sacked.
Byamukama sounded the warning during an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com managing editor recently.

Kabarole district council has laid a budget estimate of 2043Bn for the financial year 2018-2019.
While reading the budget before the council yesterday, Augustine Kisembo; the secretary finance Kabarole district disclosed that next F/Y budget has reduced by 8bn shillings compared to the last F/Y 2017-2018 which was 28.8Bn shillings.
Kisembo has attributed the budget decline to donor funding that was reduced and local revenue.
He added that they will be getting the 96% of money will come from central government whereby, 2.7 local governments and 0.65%.
Meanwhile Kisembo disclosed that the district allocated 698M in production and marketing, 2.4 Health, 6.3Bn Education, 463M community based services, 1.444Bn works and 188M in Natural resources.
He further said that the districts will prioritize Administration, works and education
