NWSC GIVES BACK TO THE MUSLIM COMMUNITIES IN BUSHENYI DISTRICT

It is more blessed to give than to receive.
On Wednesday National water and Sewerage Corporation Bushenyi showed corporate social responsibility through sharing Eid goodies with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Bushenyi district .
A number of food items including sugar and rice were shared to enable our customers breakfast and celebrate EID.
Each mosque received 50kg of Sugar and 50kg of rice. The same activity was happening in all NWSC areas of operation as is the norm during the holy month of Ramadan.
The colourful ceremony was graced by Bushenyi Water General Manager Eng Kateeba through his representatives; Dinah the Human Resource Manager of this NWSC Area, Zainab Sebowa the commercial officer and Ruharo Councillor Elineo Mwine Yeremia, who promised the public that Eng.Dr.Silver Mugisha the National Water Executive Director will supply water to all areas around d Bushenyi. Mr.Elineo appreciated the customers for supporting NWSC through bill payments and reporting leaks and burs.
Jafari Bassajabalaba the District Chairman, encouraged muslims to utilize the little water they already have and pledged to continue with the same spirit even after Ramadhan. While receiving 50kg of rice and 50kg of sugar at Rwentuha mosque, Sheikh Mudathiru Mandele Lukaga the imam of Rwentuha thanked National water for the good heart of paying Suuna and respecting the muslims. Mashonga Mosque, Butare mosque, Kibona mosque, Kikamba mosque and Kayojo mosque, Mr.Elineo noted that through this corporate social responsibility, all the muslims will learn how to share and unite with others more especially in such a ramadhan. Other mosques to benefit from this include the Bushenyi mosque, Kyabugimbi mosque, Nyarutuntu mosque and Ishaka main mosque.
During the event, the Muslim leaders including Councillor Nuwe Sulah Katula of Mashonga, Sulaiman Labion the chairman Kyamukubwa mosque, Imam Asiimwe Twaibu, Abdu Magidu Bitwababo the chairman of Butare mosque, and Dauda Mwangutsya the Kayojo mosque chairman asked fellows to follow suuna and to be kind and hospitable for the goodness of this region, they also requested the corporation to help everybody more especially in ramadhan.
