10.55am: Liverpool are closing in on signing Xherdan Shaqiri imminently, according to the bookies.
The Swiss ace starred in the World Cup last night as Switzerland came from behind to beat Serbia.
Shaqiri netted a superb individual effort in the 90th minute to give his country a great chance of making the last 16.
And with his display the bookies have the Stoke midfielder moving to Liverpool odds-on at 2/7.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Shaqiri’s performances in Moscow have forced us to cut odds on Liverpool making a shock summer move.”
9.25am: Nabil Fekir could be off to Real Madrid intead of Liverpool this summer, according to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.
He told RT France: “At [one] stage it was foreseen he would go to Liverpool, I had given it the green light for it to go ahead.
“But it just took too long, things were just too drawn out.
“He is an exceptional player, he keeps the ball in little space and has an incredible talent.
“The fact that things didn’t conclude with Liverpool and it didn’t happen in that time-frame has peaked the interest of a lot of other clubs, Real Madrid – but not just Real Madrid – and their new trainer.
