In Buhweju—
Police in Buhweju are investigating circumstances that led to the hacking of a 21 year old man.
The deceased Ashaba Julius a resident of Kiyanja cell Enganju Sub County was found dead alongside the road in Kayenje village Bihanga sub county Buhweju district inside Kashohakitomi forest.
According to the residents, Ashaba has been a habitual thief who has always disturbed the village.
Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson confirmed the news saying the head of the deceased was cut and thrown in the road where it was discovered.
The post mortem was done and the body handed over to the relatives for burial.
Police investigations are going on.

In Mitooma—
Residents in Mitooma are in grief following the death of a 49 year old man committed suicide ovD er domestic issues.
The deceased is Mbamanya Sowedi a resident of Kashansha LC1 Nyakishojwa Mitooma district.
According to Martial Tumusiime greater Bushenyi police spokesperson, the deceased and his wife had reported their matters to Mitooma police station where they were counseled but later he was heard threatening to commit suicide.
Martial revealed that when the wife had gone to her paternal home, Mbamanya used a cloth to hang himself in their bed room.
Suicide cases have become so rampant in greater Bushenyi region over domestic issues the recent being that of a 62 year Grace Bahemuka from Mugogo ii Mugogo parish Ryeru sub county Rubirizi district that occurred on 21st August 2018.

Manchester United could welcome back Alexis Sanchez, who was ruled out of the defeat by Brighton because of a groin problem.
Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia may also be available after injuries.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino remains without Son Heung-min as he is still on international duty with South Korea at the Asian Games.
Victor Wanyama has returned to training following a knee injury but is not expected to be involved on Monday.
The mood of the Manchester United manager looks likely to improve only with the winning of football matches.
That is something they have been consistently able to do at Old Trafford against Tottenham in the four years that Mauricio Pochettino has been in charge.
In their most recent meeting, the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley in April, United ended Spurs’ hopes of winning their first trophy under the Argentine.
But Tottenham have won two out of two, Harry Kane has broken his August goal-scoring duck, and their mood will be to add to Jose Mourinho’s recent discomfort.

“That is history. We are trying to set the basis to win, we are breaking records about good results but of course it is not enough.”
Tottenham have lost their past five trips to Old Trafford, scoring just once.
Manchester United will be hurting after being rolled over by Brighton. There seem to be some tensions there and there will be people with points to prove.

If Kassiano Wadri, the Arua Municipality MP elect, wants to step foot in his constituency, he will have to wait until November 27.
This follows a High court ruling in Gulu which issued an order restraining the newly elected Member of Parliament for Arua municipality from stepping foot in his constituency for three months.
Wadri was arrested together with 33 others including Kyadondo East’s Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine, Gerald Karuhanga and Paul Mwiru following the chaos in Arua that allegedly culminated into the stoning of President Museveni’s convoy.
The group were later charged with treason for their intension to harm the president when they threw stones at the convoy.
On Monday, the group were released on bail but with stringent conditions thanks to an earlier prayer by the state prosecutor Lilian Omara who asked court to put strict terms for bail.

“We pray one of the conditions given to Wadri is ordering him stay away from Arua where the violence started from for a minimum of three months to allow investigations to go on in the area. Court may be pleased to add any other conditions of its choice,”Omara asked court on Monday afternoon.
In response, the defence lawyers led by Medard Sseggona said despite court having the discretion to keep the Member of Parliament away from his constituency, it ought the duty to represent his constituents.
“His presence in Arua is not a hindrance to the investigations because he is not a violent man. He has a duty to represent the constituency on monthly basing according to the parliamentary regulations. You have discretion,” Sseggona said.
However, Justice Stephen Mubiru ruled that Wadri would not be allowed to step foot in his constituency for a period of three months until investigations are complete.
“I find persuasion in the request by the prosecution that he(Wadri) restrains himself from the constituency until investigations are done in calm environment, ”Justice Mubiru said.
The judge reasoned that because there was transfer of jurisdiction from Arua where the offence was committed to Gulu, in the same vein, Wadri should be restrained from stepping foot in the area to allow calm to return.
“He is not violent but has no direct control over the electorates,” the judge ruled.
Justice Mubiru however told the new Arua municipality Member of Parliament to always ask for permission from his court in case he needs to step foot in his constituency.
“In the event there is pressing need within the three months, there should be special permission from this court.”

Gulu High Court has today Monday 27th August 2018 released on bail 12 people who were part of the 34 arrested people during the chaos in Arua that allegedly culminated into the stoning of President Museveni’s motorcade.
These including MPs Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, Kassiano Wadri, Paul Mwiru and Gerard Karuhanga, Michael Mabikke(former MP) among others.
Through their lawyers led by Medard Sseggona, the group argued that they have their constitutional right, their deteriorating health situation after the alleged torture by security agencies and presumption of innocence among their grounds for applying for bail.
In response, the state prosecutor Lilian Omara did not object to the bail application but asked for stringent terms including confiscation of their passports before being temporarily released.
In his ruling, Justice Stephen Mubiru agreed with both parties before releasing the 12 on bail.
The judge warned the accused against discussing the ingredients of the matter in a public domain as this would be prejudicing the case in court.

He released each of them on a five million shillings non-cash bond and Shs 10 million for each of their sureties.
“You are to report at Chief Magistrate’s court in Gulu beginning August 30 and then later as when the Chief Magistrate requires you to appear,” Justice Mubiru said.
The judge however refused to order the accused to deposit their passports with court saying there is no need for such .
The politicians are however are supposed to appear before the Gulu chief magistrates court on August 30.

Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine and 33 others arrested following the Arua Municipality by-election violence, are currently at Gulu High Court for hearing of their bail application.
Bobi Wine and the rest, notably; Arua Municipality MP-elect Kassiano Wadri, Paul Mwiru (Jinja East), Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo) and Mike Mabike (ex Makindye East MP) are facing treason.
The prosecution claims these, with intent to do harm to the person of President Yoweri Museveni, unlawfully aimed and threw stones, hitting and smashing the rear windscreen of the presidential car.
All the accused have today been paraded before Gulu High Court where the judge will decide whether to grant them bail.
Lawyers have to satisfy court that the suspects won’t escape the long arm of the law; have strong sureties; won’t interfere with the investigations and that they have a place of abode among other conditions.
Some of the politicians attending the hearing of the case include Dr Kizza Besigye, Norbert Mao, and Abdul Katuntu among others.

In Kabale—
Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a man along Kabale-Bunyonyi road in Kiyora cell Northern division, Kabale Municiplaity.
The deceased was identified as Rogers Byaruhanga a 33-year old Boda-Boda rider, a resident of Murambo cell Kitojo parish Bubaare sub county Rubanda district.
The Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate says that he was shot dead by unknown assailants, three in number, armed with a rifle, putting on civilian attire with hoods covering part of their faces.
Maate says that the deceased had just entered a bar and heard someone calling chants of Bobi Wine. When he went outside to find out who was the person, he was shot instantly. The assailants disappeared immediately to unknown location.
Maate says that assailants were moving on foot and police has started investigations to establish the motive of the killing.
The wife to the deceased Gloria Niwamanya narrates that she received a phone call from one Deus announcing her husband’s death at around 11: 00pm. She says that by the time she arrived at the scene the body had been put in the vehicle.
