Chief Magistrates Court in Mitooma will on Oct. 02, 2018 decide whether to give bail to six witch doctors who conned a professor of Medicine at KIU western campus 250m.
While appearing in court on Sept 20, 2018, Prosecutions stated that two months back 6 men while in Kansheshero Mitooma conned a Prof. of medicine Jonathan Nshaho 250 million promising to bring back his cow which had been stolen from his farm in Ibanda district.
According to Nshaho,having lost his cow he was called by the suspects and took him to their shrine asked him to give them money so that they could help him get back his cow. After failing to bring back the cow and the money, he reported the matter to Mitooma police station.
Six witchdoctors who have been in custody for more than two months applied for bail but the chief magistrate told them that she was new at the station and needed to read the file first.
Its a talk in greater Bushenyi for a professor of medicine to be conned all this huge amounts of money when actually medical doctors by training dont believe that witch doctors can administer any right treatment.

At least 57 members of the Busaiga cooperative SACCO have petitioned the office of the resident district commissioner Kabarole Asiimwe Steven over misuse of office by their SACCO manager.
Kabatalesa Mastura is alleged to have misused the over 70 Million shillings belonging to the SACCO.
In a letter dated 20th -09-2018 addressed to the RDC Asiimwe, the members stated that the manger in connivance with some of board members and district commercial officer Kabango John have been misused the SACCO for about five years.
The members said that in 2013 50M shillings was discovered missing by the auditors, 206200, in March 2018, 20 Million shillings was also discovered missing and in August 800,000shs and 15M in 2017.
They disclosed that despite all these queries, the manager or the board members have never explained to members how the money has been lost nor have they given accountability.
The members said that whenever a member tries to inquire from the manager, she says its the commercial officer who is supposed to ask her that he is her boss.
Kagezi Arthur Mugenyi a member said that sometimes the SACCO management withdraws members money from their accounts without their consent citing account number 845 belonging to Kobusinge Magie and 850 belonging to one Kisembo Charles and also conniving with thieves to supply stolen motorcycles inform of loans to members citing the case loans officer who has been arrested at fort portal police for the statement.
The members thus urge the office of the RDC to intervene and also request for an external audit for the smooth running of the SACCO.
RDC Asiimwe said that he is going to write to the CAO, the commercial officer and the founder members of the SACCO as members report the case to police.
Meanwhile efforts to get comment from the manger and the commercial officer were futile as they were not found in their offices.
