SHEEMA MUNICIPALITY ELECTION CASE ADJOURNED TO 16TH JANUARY 2019.

High court in Mbarara has started the hearing of Sheema electoral petition.
This comes after FDCs former candidate in Sheema Municipality election Virginia Plan Mugyenyi petitioned challenging the election results where Minister Elioda Tumwesigye was declared a winner in the recent sheema municipality elections.
While presiding over the case, Andrew Bashaija the head of civil division and the judge in this case granted both sides a leave for cross examination exercise.
Virginia Plan Mugyenyi told journalists after the court that the leave granted to both sides will enable them plan for the next hearing.
The whole hearing of this case is slated to last for ten days.
The case has been adjourned to 16th January 2019.
Tumwesigye and Virginia were all present in the court room but these were represented by their lawyers of Kandebe advocates and Isabirye &Co Advocates respectively.
