Kabarole Leaders are irked by the poor education standards in Kijura Town Council demanding the town council leadership and education department to take serious stern rules and regulations on the head teachers and teachers of primary schools.
Last year, Kijura Town Council got only 5 first grades in P.L.E, leaving parents and leaders wondering whether the teachers are being paid.
During the District Executive Committee DEC familiarization tour of the government programs in the town council, the district leaders led by the District chairperson Mr.Rwabuhinga Richard were shocked at Kahuna primary school to find that on Monday 5 teachers out of 9 had reported for duty and on Tuesday 9th April, only 3 teachers out 9 had reported leaving the children stranded in the buildings.
Mr.Rwabuhinga reveals that records indicated teachers and pupils were on holiday when other schools were busy preparing to end the first term describing the school as in the state of coma.
The tough speaking chairperson tasked the Kijura town council authorities both technical and political to prioritize monitoring and supervision of schools and health facilities as the district finds solution for these habitual errant teachers.
