WORLD MALARIA DAY: KEGRA ORGANISES GENERAL MALARIA EDUCATION IN BUSHENYI

Keirere Green Africa Agency KEGRA has today in conjunction with an American volunteer Patricia Brown joined the rest of the world to celebrate World Malaria Day that is commemorated on 25th April of every year.
The function was today 25th April 2019 organized at Bushenyi Play ground in Bushenyi town under the theme “Bushenyi fights the bite” aimed at sensitizing people on how they can avoid and prevent malaria to achieve a malaria free region.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com, Patricia learnt that Malaria can effect a child every day in the world.
She advised the public to always sleep under treated mosquito nets, keep away from night hours, clearing bushes around their homes and covering the cleared area with soil to prevent mosquito breeding spots,wearing long sleeved clothes at night among others.
The occasion was attended by two schools, St Kagwa secondary school and Bushenyi primary Town School both from Bushenyi district.
At the same function, there was a football matches between students from schools and locals plus giving out of prizes to the teachers that escorted their students.
