TWO EX-M23 REBELS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY MURDERING KISORO LAWYER

Police in Kisoro district are holding two former M23 rebels for allegedly murdering a lawyer.
The two Charles a. k. a Seruhasha Saddam, Ndagizimana Craude and four other men have been arrested in connection to the murder of Counsel Sendegeya Isaac who was murdered by armed men in front of his gate on 21st July this year.
Seruhasha 33 is a Congolese residing in Nakivale Refugees settlement camp in Isingiro district while Ndagizimana Craude aged 42 a resident of Bunagana town board, muramba Sub County, in Kisoro district who claims to be a refugee from Congo.
According to police,Seruhasha presented himself at Mbarara police station after getting information from the media that he was being suspected to have killed a lawyer in Kisoro district and later was delivered to Kisoro police station for interrogation.
ndagizimana on the other hand admitted to the offence and he is the one connecting police to the Prime suspects, according to the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate.
Ndagizimana also alleges that one Nyiramajambere Scola aged 59 a resident of Bunagana, Muramba SubCounty, Kisoro district who had a Civil Suit Court is the one who hired them to kill the lawyer.
Scola was also arrested on allegations that she uttered words of threat to the deceased (lawyer), at Kisoro Court premises during Judgment in a Civil Suit Court case No. 028/2017.
Police also arrested a Mufumbira identified as Imfitundinda Steven a. k. a Season aged 29, a resident of Kabaya village, Karambi parish, Nyarubuye SubCounty, in Kisoro district a Boda boda rider at Bunagana stage connected by Ndagizimana Craude for allegedly riding the assailants on his motorcycle.
Other suspects arrested for uttering words of threat to the deceased are Mvano a. k. a Vianny Issah aged 24, a business man residing in Nyarutovu, Bunagana parish who was a plaintiff in Civil Suit Court case of Scola, Hagumakwiha Assuman 59, a husband to Nyiramajambere Scola.
It’s also alleged that one Hagumakwiha sold a piece of land at a cost of UGX8M meant for hiring the killers.
The Case has been registered under Kisoro CRB 542/2019 File and was submitted to the Office of DPP for perusal and legal guidance.
The Kigezi police spokesperson Elly Maate said that the six suspects will be charged in courts of law.
