KABAROLE GISO ARRESTED OVER STOLEN GOATS, POSSESSION OF GUN

Police in Fort portal yesterday impounded 48 goats during a joint operation in Rwebisingo alleged to have been stolen from Prince Rukidi’s farm.
The alleged stolen goats were found hidden in a forest in Mugusu zone Kihingami Busoro sub county Kabarole district.
According to the police, they have four suspects identified as Kagaba Robert, Galata Kadir Muhamed, Manihiro John and Mugisa Ali who is the area chairperson and Giso west division in custody.
Police said that they were informed by residents that the goats belong to one Galata Kadiri whom they found with forged documents signed by the chairman.
OC CIID Rwebisengo police post Dison Ngobi told www.mknewslink.com at this point; police decided to ambush the place and four others were arrested including the chairman.
In the search, police also encountered army uniform from the chairman’s house and a gun.
However, Galata stated that it was Joan Ninsiima from UWA that had given him a contract to supply her with goats for the two phase project aimed at supplying goats to people neighboring game parks.
Steven Karamagi who claims to be the UWA project tenderer said that the alleged stolen goats belong to UWA adding that he purchased the goats after UWA awarded him the contract to buy 170 goats.
